What follows is an observation of the circumstance of our existence. The object of this work is to open minds to conclusions sustained by the unfolding of history in our time. Emotion and the awareness of one’s fate are the motivating factors that inspire the following words and thoughts. As the dates of the volumes that follow indicate, the contents are somewhat historical and yet relevant to our world today. Some of these thoughts are timeless, others are timely and then others are somewhat esoteric. By this is meant – that if the reader’s mind is inquisitive – they will use these thoughts to come to conclusions that have not as yet manifested in their mind. Others will see parts of this work as blasphemous and irreverent – this is not my intension. Like minded souls may find inspiration and possibly new insights. This offering is meant to stir the combined consciousness of our world and world of the future. Reality is not only what is now but also a concept that can be used to influence the future. What we know is the combined experiences of the past. It is the conclusions we have come to. The time has come for us to free our minds from the mental and cultural shackles that too often cause a narrow view of our world. The purpose of life is to be happy, positive and aware. The purpose of our existence is to recognize our cosmic circumstance. We are beings on a planet in the great void of space – the universe – that now has the ability to comprehend the concept that we are the result of the life force on this oasis in space. Our minds are the manifestation of God. The reason for our existence is for God to recognize itself. This planet is the cradle for the creation of God. God is the sum total of the life force of this planet. The more aware, compassionate, accepting and peaceful we are – the more the power of God grows. We are but a part of all the life on the planet and this planet a cosmic conclusion. When we accept such a grand concept, we will enter the next phase of the journey. Accepting such a thought is necessary for the mindset needed to continue the journey. We do not reject the past – we build on it. The lessons we have learned are what we know, the future is what we dream.
This is a compilation of thirteen volumes of thirteen poems that date from 1984 through 1996. As stated before – you may surmise that these thoughts are dated, but they are not. Much of what is offered is more relevant today than at the time of their creation. Some of the early works are observation of the world political climate of the time but even these can be seen as a study of human behavior. Also offered by these mental snapshots of the past are hints as to the motivations of conclusions arrived at. As of 2010 the next series of poems and word thought will be offered annually in the same format and style. The hope is that by your interest in this work, you will be inspired to further explore the words and thoughts that are yet to come. Included at the beginning of this collection is the original introduction to works at the time. The world still grapples with such thoughts.
