Conceptual thought in the western civilization has arrived at a point of evolution when the time has come to grasp a grander view of our planetary awareness. Not just the concept of being good stewards of the planet, but also the conclusion that mankind has arrived at a threshold in time where we can comprehend that we are conscious being that are ready to accept our planetary and cosmic circumstance. The past is a foundation on which we build. It is how we arrived at our current mindset. The problem is stagnation. The evolution of theology is the purpose of this work. The world is in constant motion. The way many practice religion today has become detrimental to the concept that is the original purpose of religion itself. Too many people today use religion as a way to be exceptional to others. The end result is that they feel superior to others. This is dangerous. The purpose of religion is to achieve peace of mind and be in harmony with the world around us. We seem to have lost our way. We hit a wall because of our lack of imagination. Too many have ceased to wonder and are now marching lockstep into some imagined oblivion that is supposed to lead to a heavenly reward. This folly is further exasperated because there are so many with so many versions and each claim to know to correct path. What they do agree upon is that this world is disposable. It is only a staging ground for the next level – the hereafter. This is not only stupid and dangerous, but also quite a mind boggling concept if you really think about it. It is not as if we are evil, but rather misdirected. We are living on past lore that was current in the past, but the past is past. The future is what we must focus on at this point in planetary evolution. We must accept the concept that we are the conscious and champion for the entire web of life that is the planet earth. The world wasn’t created for our convenience to mindlessly exploit and destroy. This planet is a cosmic miracle. We must come to the realization that this planet is as special as we have come to think we are. The progress of our civilization has afforded us the freedom of thought to advance our awareness and understanding. It is incumbent on us to take the next step in planetary evolution. We have advanced so far, achieved so much and gained such a perspective that it would be ludicrous to continue down the dead end street that has become the way we practice religion and view the world today. This is just a point on our journey. It is a point in time. It is a reference point for Reality. Read these words. Contemplate these thoughts. Dream a dream – that is the future.
