This work is a vision and effort offered thoughtfully to provoke a change in how we view our existence. There is no doubt that it is necessary, relevant and will be instrumental in the success of civilization. The world has arrived at a point in its evolution when not only must we respect another person’s religious path that does not exclude the path of others, but also offer a message that will be relevant to future humanity. If the ‘the dogma of doom’, aka ‘doomsday’, the tribulation, heaven for the chosen few, second coming or what have you, is not going to occur, then we must adjust our awareness to encompass not only humankind but also the entire web of life on this planet we call ‘Earth’. To me there is no doubt that we are a conscious being that has evolved on this oasis in space. God is the result of our existence. Even if this does not turn out to be the case, it would be prudent to proceed as if this world is a living force and we should conduct our lives in a manner that is compatible with the world around us. The flip side of this is the concept that the world was created as some sort of ‘theater of temptation’ in order for us to make the choice between good and bad in order to live in the divine hereafter. The reason for religion is to give people peace of mind, to live a harmonious life and seek goodness and understanding. The concept has devolved into hatred for others who believe differently. We now kill in order to claim heaven. This is nothing new but we now have the mental vision to see how absurd the whole exercise is. The end is near only if we allow our stupidity to triumph over our common sense. We must choose to go with the concept that there will not be an end to the world as predicted by the so called religious visionaries of the past or their clueless mimics and accept the fact that we are beings of this planet who are going to continue on in this endeavor which we call life. If this is the case we are going to need a game plan.
With so many religions at each other’s throats, even sect against sect, as well as the growth of secular thought in many societies, we must now contemplate the next step in our theological process. Also we must heed the movement that has manifested as a protest that questions the inequities of the financial and corporate world and in the recognition of the growing dissatisfaction with what our societies have become. Humankind is rapt in anticipation of the next step in religious evolution – whether they know it or not. Consider this as a more realistic ‘rapture’. We must envision a world of which we are a part of and that the demise of nature will only be followed by our own demise. The time has arrived for the message to be sent. The dynamics of awareness that is essential for the implantation of the following words and concepts into the world consciousness loom and the timing could not be more advantageous. These words have one purpose and that purpose is to change the world of the future.
